Biology

Biology is the study of life.  There are many types of biologists that study topics like plants, animals, fungi and even bacteria.  These scientists are interested in the characteristics of living things as well as how they exist, are grouped, and interact together.

Botany

Thousands of plants cover our earth.  Plants provide oxygen, food, shelter, beauty, and are essential to life on earth.  The scientific study of plants and similar organisms is called botany, one of the oldest branches of biology.
